Terms and Conditions

Prior to finalising your reservation with Pāda Pāda, we urge you to carefully review the Terms and Conditions and keep a copy for your records. The following Terms and Conditions are applicable to all bookings made with Pāda Pāda. Upon the payment of a deposit for a booking on any Pāda Pāda trip by you, the client, or in the case of a group booking, all participants within the group, acknowledge that they have thoroughly read and comprehended the Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, they agree to be bound by these terms. By making a booking with Pāda Pāda, you, as the client, confirm your acceptance and understanding that Pāda Pāda shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs, or expenses that may arise as a consequence of your participation in the trip.

Deposit

To confirm your place on a trip with Pāda Pāda a non-refundable deposit will be required. When traveling with in 90 days of a trip’s departure date, full payment will be required with in 48 hours of booking to confirm your place on the trip. Failure to do this could result in losing both your place and your deposit.

Confirmation of booking

Once your deposit has been paid you will receive confirmation of your booking. Confirmation of your booking does not confirm your place on the trip until you have paid the full cost of the trip at or before 90 days of your chosen trip’s start date.

Final payment

Final payment for your trip will be required a minimum of 90 days prior to your trip’s start date. Failure to do this could result in you losing both your place on the trip and your deposit. When booking within 90 days of the trip’s start date you must pay the trips full cost with in 48 hours of paying your deposit and making your booking.

Travel and Trip Insurance

All participants on Pāda Pāda trips are required to have insurance that covers the activities on the itinerary, including helicopter evacuation. Declaration of any pre-existing medical conditions to your insurers is mandatory, and it is essential to obtain written confirmation of full coverage for such conditions. We strongly recommend securing travel insurance promptly after booking to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances like illness or injury that may prevent your participation in the expedition.

It's crucial to note that the health insurance you have in your home country may not be sufficient for this trip, as travel insurance offers specific coverage tailored to the expedition's requirements. Failure to acquire appropriate travel insurance may lead to the cancellation of your place on the trip.

To ensure compliance, travel insurance documents, including the insurance company's name, policy number, expiry date, and contact number, must be submitted to Pāda Pāda at least 90 days before the trip’s start date or within 48 hours of booking if you are booking trips which start in less than 90 days. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your reserved place on the trip.

Medical declarations and waivers

When enrolling in a Pāda Pāda trip, you must provide a medical declaration and waiver form. Submission is required at least 90 days before the trip's departure or within 48 hours of booking trips which start in less than 90 days. Failure to submit your forms on time could result in you losing your place on the trip as well as any fees already paid. You acknowledge that, for your well-being, Pāda Pāda may refuse or cancel your booking without refund if, at their discretion, they reasonably believe you are not fit enough for the trip.

Passports, Visas and Travel Restrictions

It is your, the client's, responsibility to ensure your passport is valid for the visiting country’s requirements as well as obtain any entry visas required and ensuring you have no restrictions on entering the destination country.

Travel

You are fully responsible for arranging transportation to and from the beginning and end of a Pāda Pāda trip. Failure to reach the designated location at the decided start time specified in the itinerary will result in the participant forfeiting the entire trip cost.

Client cancellation

If you wish to cancel your trip with Pāda Pāda you must notify Pāda Pāda in writing. The following charges will be applied:

Cancellation before 90 days: loss of deposit.

Cancellation between 89 and 60 days: 40% of the cost of the trip.

Cancellation between 59 and 30 days: 75% of the cost of the trip.

Cancellation less than 30 days: 100% of the cost of the trip.

Cancelation by Pāda Pāda

We, Pāda Pāda, retain the right to cancel any trip that lacks sufficient participants to ensure financial viability. While we commit to notifying you as soon as possible, this might occur after final balances have been collected, yet not less than 30 days before the trip's departure, except in cases of Force Majeure, inadequate insurance coverage on your part or failure to settle the final balance. If Pāda Pāda cancels a trip, you are entitled to a refund limited to the fees paid to Pāda Pāda, or you may opt to reschedule for a different date or trip, unless the cancellation results from inadequate insurance coverage, failure to settle the final balance or unforeseen government intervention. In cases of government interventions, actual incurred costs by Pāda Pāda will be deducted from any refund. No other compensation will be granted. In the event of a Pāda Pāda trip cancellation, we are not liable for any expenses you may have incurred in anticipation of the trip. It is advisable to obtain trip cancellation insurance to cover potential eventualities.

Force Majeure

Unless specifically stated otherwise in these conditions, we, Pāda Pāda, are unable to take responsibility or provide compensation if our ability to fulfil our contractual obligations is hindered or impacted, and you experience injury, damage, loss, or expenses due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, commonly known as "force majeure." Force majeure refers to events that neither we nor the service provider could anticipate or prevent, despite exercising utmost care. Examples of such events include, but are not limited to, war, riot, civil unrest, terrorism, labor disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions, disease, fire, and similar uncontrollable occurrences.

Leaving a trip early

Should you choose to depart the trip voluntarily before the agreed finish date, Pāda Pāda assumes no liability for your safety and well-being. Additionally, the company will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you, the client, in such instances.

Illness and Injury

You must have adequate travel insurance to cover illness or injury acquired during a trip. Pāda Pāda and their representatives withhold the right to remove or isolate a client from the trip if they believe their illness or injury pose a risk to either the client themselves or the rest of the group. Pāda Pāda bears no responsibility for incurred costs due to illness or injury during a trip.

Fitness and Ability

When booking a trip with Pāda Pāda, you affirm that you are currently fit and healthy or will be by the trip's start date to engage in all aspects of the planned itinerary. You also confirm possessing the requisite technical skills and ability to participate. Failure to meet these criteria may lead to exclusion from specific parts of the itinerary or an early departure from the trip, at your, the client's expense. Pāda Pāda bears no responsibility for incurred costs in such situations.

Age

If you are booking the trip by yourself, you must be 18 years or older by the start of the trip however if accompanied by a parent or guardian then we accept bookings from participants 16 years or older. No upper age limit is set, but for all Pāda Pāda trips, it's important to be physically fit so that you are able to fully engage in all aspects of the planned itinerary.

Guides

The guide's decisions are ultimate. Pāda Pāda collaborates exclusively with highly qualified and experienced guides who are industry professionals with expertise in leading trips. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the group at all times. While the guides make every effort to help each individual client complete all aspects of a trip, such as reaching a summit or specific destination, the guides ultimate focus is on ensuring the safety of individuals and the group, with the priority of returning everyone home unharmed rather than guaranteeing summit achievements.

A guide may instruct an individual to leave the group if they determine that person's health is at risk, they lack the necessary fitness or skills, are inadequately prepared, their behaviour jeopardises safety, well-being, or trip enjoyment, or if they commit an illegal act. By booking a trip with Pāda Pāda, you agree to this policy and acknowledge that non-compliance could result in being asked to leave the trip at your own expense, with no refund offered.

Itinerary

Pāda Pāda will make every effort to stick to the itinerary of the trip you have signed up for, however it must be understood that when taking part in adventurous activities and travel, plans may need to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances. These include but are not limited to, mountain or weather conditions, guide or client injury or illness, transport and accommodation availability or land access. On assessing the conditions expected to be encountered in the mountains or the abilities of the team members, your Pāda Pāda guide or representative may decide to change any aspect of the trip, if they believe the planed itinerary could place anyone at risk.

Photography and Media

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you, as the client, authorise Pāda Pāda and its affiliated sponsors to utilise photographs, motion pictures, recordings, data, or any other documentation of your involvement in the trip for any lawful purpose, without any compensation.
